Trade Manager Expert v3.3 — User Guide
Overview
Trade Manager Expert is an on-chart planning and management panel for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. It helps you place entry, stop-loss, and take-profit levels; size a position from your chosen risk; send a market or pending order; and manage the resulting position from the same chart. The panel title is T Manager v3.3.
The workflow is plan → execute → manage. The tool does not generate entry signals or guarantee an outcome. Test your settings on a demo account before trading live.
Installation
- Install the MT5
.ex5or MT4.ex4build in the terminal'sExpertsfolder, or install the product through the MQL5 Market. See the MQL5 installation guide or the Trade't installation guide. - Enable Algo Trading in MetaTrader. If it is off, the panel shows
T Manager v3.3: Please enable Algo Trading. - Attach Trade Manager Expert to a chart. The panel opens at the top left.
- Open the EA inputs to set your default risk, stop placement, break-even distance, line colours, and display options.
The panel remembers its position, selected trade, risk value, risk-to-reward value, partial targets, and lock state between terminal restarts. If your broker adds characters to symbol names, use Custom Symbol Prefix to truncate or Custom Symbol Suffix to truncate for a cleaner display.
Plan a trade
- Click CLICK FOR NEW TRADE. The panel draws draggable Entry, Stop Loss (SL), and Take Profit (TP) lines. The button changes to CANCEL, which removes those planning lines.
- Choose I for an instant entry that follows the market, or P to keep the Entry line at a chosen price for a pending order.
- Set the risk field. Its meaning comes from Default Risk Choice: percentage, money amount, or fixed volume. With percentage risk, Risk % From selects Balance, Equity, or Free Margin.
- Drag the Entry, SL, and TP lines. The panel recalculates risk in account currency, lot size, and the risk-to-reward ratio as levels change.
- Enter a Risk To Reward value if desired. Lock keeps TP at that ratio when you move SL; Free lets the lines move independently.
- Check the displayed lot size and enabled order button before sending an order.
The default Stop Loss can start at the high or low of a chosen number of candles, or at a fixed point distance. You can then adjust the line on the chart.
Execute an order
The panel offers Buy, Sell, Buy Limit, Sell Limit, Buy Stop, and Sell Stop. It colours only the buttons permitted by the current Entry, SL, TP, and market-price arrangement. Grey buttons are unavailable. If the lines cannot form a valid trade, the panel shows Invalid SL and TP levels !; move the lines into a valid arrangement.
You can edit the volume field manually. When Show Alert message on market execution is enabled, the panel asks for confirmation if its recalculated lot size differs from the displayed volume. A successful order resets the planning controls for the next trade.
Manage an open trade
Select a position or pending order from the MANAGE YOUR TRADE drop-down. Focus draws the selected trade's Entry, SL, and TP levels on the chart. The panel lists trades for the current symbol; the < and > keys cycle through them.
Break-even
Set BE Lev to the desired trigger distance in points. Press + to project a draggable break-even line, then BE to move the selected position's Stop Loss. The BE Buffer to cover commission input adds a point buffer beyond entry. Press − to remove a projected line. Break-even applies to positions, not pending orders.
Partial profits and exits
Each of Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 has a target price and a PERC% value. Press + beside a part to create its chart line, then set the price and percentage of the position to close. Once armed, the panel checks the level on each tick and submits the partial close when price reaches it. Press − to remove a target.
For an immediate partial close, set Part Close % and click the matching Close xx% button. CLOSE POSITION exits the entire selected position. When a pending order is selected, the same action reads DELETE ORDER.
The panel normalizes partial-close volume to the broker's lot step and minimum volume. Check broker execution and the resulting position after any close request.
